panaduraPrivacy Policy
panadura.city (“we”, “us”) is building an AI-powered app for Panadura, Sri Lanka. This policy explains what personal data we collect through panadura.city, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
What we collect
When you join the beta waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address, so we can invite you to the beta.
- Your phone platform (Android or iOS), so we invite you to the right beta.
- Your approximate country, worked out from your IP address when you sign up. We do not store your IP address.
- The date and time you signed up.
We use your IP address briefly to stop automated abuse of the sign-up form (rate limiting). It is not stored with your details.
The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other sites.
How we use it
- To send you a confirmation email when you join.
- To invite you to the beta and send you updates about it.
- To understand interest in the app, using total counts only.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
We use these service providers to run the site and send email. They only process data on our instructions:
- Cloudflare: hosting and the database that stores the waitlist.
- Zoho Mail: sending confirmation and beta emails.
- Google Fonts: serves the website’s font, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
These providers may process data outside Sri Lanka, with safeguards in place.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until the beta programme ends or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- delete it, or
- stop emailing you. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Email info@panadura.city from the address you signed up with, and we will respond within 21 working days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access limited to our team.
Children
The waitlist is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete their details.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If the changes are significant, we will email people on the waitlist.
